San Visits DC with the Pentagon in the Background |
San spent some time in the Washington DC area in 2008 and came back with some amazing photos. She got to see Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend, not knowing the soldiers would be there placing flags on every grave. The Pentagon is just on the other side of the Washington Memorial in the background. |
Sans Photos She Took While Visiting the Vietnam Memorial DC
|
Being in Washington DC, is one of the greatest experiences ever, says San. To be able to walk around, see the history, the Holocaust Museum, the Vietnam Memorial, Lincolns Memorial, Washington's Memorial and many others, provides a sense of Patriotism for sure. |
Silo painted by a Farmer in New York State |
This painted silo, is on the farm of Mr. Leon Le Brake in Canton, NY. I stopped there on traveling through this area and talked to, Kevin his son. I asked why this was here and Kevin explained that his father, a day or so after 9/11, felt compelled to go outside, find some paint and put this on his silo in honor of all who perished. Unfortunately, Kevin says Mr. Le Brake's farm is being sold for his father is older now and unable to take care of things any longer. Taken May, 2006 |
