Close up of the Bench Showing the Reflective Bottom Shelf Made of Stainless Steel
|
Description: This is a fantastic piece of artwork like no other. San had the idea to design the bottom of the table out of stainless steel with a highly reflective bottom shelf to be able to view the bottom half of the concrete top. This allowed the viewer to see the exposed, massive rebar, in all its glory and heyday of steel manufacturing
in the 1960’s. This is a solid piece that will stand the test of time, even if it is placed outdoors. The aggregate stone is polished and sealed. The ‘V’ design goes along with the VICTORII REBUILD 10 year anniversary piece, already installed on loan in Bethlehem, PA. That larger sculpture will be permanently installed in NYC.
ALL FUNDS FROM THE PURCHASES OF THE SMALLER CONCRETE SCULPTURES GO DIRECTLY TO PROJECT 11UP FOR THE PLACEMENT OF SCULPTURES IN THE UNITED STATES. TRANSPORTATION, SCULPTING, EQUIPMENT AND LABOR OF THE CONCRETE BLOCKS, WILL BE PAID FOR OUT OF THIS FUND, TO ENSURE THEIR COMPLETION. |
